As a PhD candidate in clinical psychology, my work focuses on the qualitative study of professional practices with juvenile offenders, the conceptions that underlie them, and the lived experience of young offenders.
On the one hand, the research objective is to identify and analyze the interventions implemented in the situations of penal placement and the logics which found them according to the point of view of the interveners (i.e., educators, psychologists, social workers, nurses) of the french public sector (Protection Judiciaire de la Jeunesse, PJJ) and the private sector (secteur associatif habilité, SAH).
On the other hand, the aim of my work is to describe the experience that young offenders have of the situation of penal placement in three specific institutions: an educational placement and integration institution (EPEI), a reinforced educational center (CER), and a closed educational center (CEF).
A third axis of my work concerns the epistemology of qualitative research in psychology. I study the foundations of different qualitative methodologies, and in particular the different uses and developments of reflexive thematic analysis and interpretative phenomenological analysis.
